Diamonds are the hardest substance known to man and is also one of the most sought after gems on the planet. They are valued by their clarity, color, carat and cut but when they come out of the ground they look nothing like the cut and polished gems you see in the shop window. In the dark corner of this stone is an unimaginable life of greed, corruption and brutality.

A Very Unique Opportunity to Steal the Diamonds on the Land
In 1888 Cecil Rhodes got the backings of Lord Nathan Mayer Rothschild a very wealthy and influential family at the time, for an idea he had to monopolize the newly growing diamond industry. This backing and the merger with Barney Banarto saw the creation of the De Beer Consolidated Mines, a merger that saw them becoming South Africa leaders in the production of diamond mining.
